The district will move Special Olympics from May 1st to its rain date of May 4th and confirmed the Durham Association of Educators is coordinating community partners to provide food access to students that day.
The board determined the district has sufficient banked instructional hours to absorb the change without extending the school year, affecting approximately 880 employees district-wide including 15 bus drivers.
