When you subscribe to Hey Durham, we collect your email address. That's it. We don't collect your name, location, phone number, or any other personal information unless you voluntarily provide it (for example, when submitting a tip or event).

Your email address is used solely to send you the Hey Durham newsletter and occasional announcements about the newsletter. We will never sell, rent, or share your email address with third parties for marketing purposes.

Email service

We use Buttondown to manage our mailing list and send emails. When you subscribe, your email is stored on Buttondown's servers. Buttondown's privacy policy is available at buttondown.com/legal/privacy.

Analytics

We may use basic analytics (such as open rates and click rates) provided by Buttondown to understand how our newsletter is performing. These analytics are aggregated and are not used to build individual profiles.

Cookies

This website uses minimal cookies — only what's necessary for the site to function (such as remembering if you've dismissed the signup bar). We do not use tracking cookies or third-party advertising cookies.

Your rights

You can unsubscribeat any time using the link at the bottom of every email. If you'd like your data deleted entirely, email us at hello@heydurham.comand we'll remove your information within 30 days.

Children

Hey Durham is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

We may update this policy from time to time. If we make significant changes, we'll note it in the newsletter. Your continued use of the site or newsletter after changes constitutes acceptance.
