Audit firm Mauldin & Jenkins, which spent over 1,000 hours on the engagement, walked commissioners through audit opinions, findings, and financial performance indicators for Durham County's comprehensive annual report and single audit.
McFadden brings more than 20 years of audit and compliance experience across city, county, and state government, most recently as deputy director of internal audit for Guilford County. She will lead performance audits and internal-controls oversight for Durham County.
