One minute to air. We're live streaming.
Good evening and welcome to the May 23rd meeting of the Durham Planning Commission.
We do not currently have quorum, so we are going to take a 15-minute recess and see if we have quorum after that.
We will return at 5:45 PM.
Not yet. Everybody to the left of you are retired. Okay, I was just curious.
I heard I mean, some will, for sure. Oh yeah, but the ones that are partial. Yeah.
And then also You know, the process.
You can make it zero, but it doesn't really make a—
well.
So that's 4,000 units instead of 12,000. Well, now it's 6,000 units.
I don't know, we'll find out when he gets up there. Yeah, I've seen him talk, but we'll see. I've seen him on PowerPoint and then I've seen him in real life. How do you play it?
First he went to the emergency hospital and then they referred him to Nate Baker Hospital. And then they scheduled, you know, they were quick to schedule an appointment for him. Alright.
Okay, so we are back from recess. We still do not have quorum, so unfortunately, because we do not have quorum, we will not be able to have a meeting and conduct business tonight. Um, a lot of the reason that we do not have quorum tonight is that we have two vacancies right now that they came after we scheduled this meeting. And then we have a new commissioner who couldn't start until June.
We had two commissioners, uh, who last minute were sick.
And then we have two other commissioners who had work trips. So with those vacancies, we don't have a lot of buffer for any unexpected illnesses. So I apologize for inconvenience for folks who took time out of their evening and traveled out here tonight.
We will look to reschedule the public hearing for the comprehensive plan as soon as possible, and we will have to— we will go through the regular announcement procedures to make sure that it is properly noticed to the public and everybody knows when that next meeting will be. So with that, unless staff has anything they need to add. Okay.
Yes.
We are looking to reschedule and readvertise the public hearing for your June June 13th, the 13th meeting, but there are already a lot of cases on that meeting. So keep your social calendar clear.
That—
awesome.
So we are going to look to hold the comprehensive plan public hearing on our regularly scheduled June 13th meeting.
That's going to be a busy night.
And there are 7 rezonings, a text amendment case, and now the comprehensive plan. So we will be doing our work to be our best to be expeditious during that meeting.
With that, this meeting will be adjourned at 5:48 PM Eastern Time.
