The Texas-based company is stepping in after High Street Residential finished years of entitlement work. Construction and operations now fall to Camden, with groundbreaking expected this summer.

High Street Residential spent years steering the Hopson Road site through Durham's development process. The location sits in the industrial-to-residential transition zone southwest of downtown, a corridor the city has been nudging toward denser housing. With permits secured, no more approvals to chase.
The division of labor here is deliberate. High Street handled the slow, uncertain front end. Camden arrives for the build.
