Uma Ramiah and Jessica Breland spent years testing their concept without a permanent space, running pop-ups at Dreamville events and borrowed kitchens across Durham. On February 19, they opened Eve at 108 East Parrish Street, one block from DPAC, in the former Atomic Fern space. It is the first time either founder has put her name on a building.
The concept is specific: a nightlife space designed by and for women. The room features low lighting, dense plants, and a built-in DJ booth meant to make music feel structural rather than incidental.
- Programming centers women DJs, chefs, and visual artists, with chef-driven pop-ups, artist showcases, and late-night screenings alongside regular bar service.
- The cocktail menu runs botanical and mezcal-forward, priced around $16.
- Breland played six seasons in the WNBA before moving into hospitality. Ramiah has worked in events and creative production in the Triangle for over a decade.
Atomic Fern closed in 2023, leaving Parrish Street without much nightlife presence. Eve is open Wednesday through Sunday.
