Red Phone Booth is opening its first North Carolina location at 125 Orange St. in June 2026. Entry requires stepping into a restored London phone booth and dialing a nightly secret code.
- The Durham location is the seventh Red Phone Booth nationally, with other locations in Atlanta, Dallas, and Nashville. It will carry 400-plus spirits, including rare bourbons and Japanese whisky, with Italian-inspired small plates and Neapolitan pizza.
- The venue is locally owned by Dr. Ralph Mensah and Dr. Michael Thomas. It is accepting early memberships.
- The 125 Orange St. space includes a temperature-controlled spirits vault and a private room called the Mafia Room.
Red Phone Booth is a franchise concept, not an independent bar. The existing locations are in larger markets. Durham will be the smallest city in the portfolio.
The opening is scheduled for June 2026. No specific date has been announced.
