Red Phone Booth, a speakeasy chain with six locations across Atlanta, Dallas, and Nashville, is bringing its concept to 125 Orange St. in June 2026. Entry works the same way at every location: guests step into a restored London phone booth and dial a nightly secret code to get in.
- The two-level space spans 4,100 square feet and stocks more than 400 spirits, including a temperature-controlled vault holding 200 premium selections.
- The menu includes Italian-inspired small plates and Neapolitan pizza alongside the cocktail program.
- Durham will be the smallest city in Red Phone Booth's portfolio. The other six locations operate in downtown nightlife districts with significantly larger footprints than Orange Street.
Orange Street sits at the edge of downtown Durham's core entertainment corridor, a block from the Durham Performing Arts Center and a short walk from the American Tobacco Campus. The block has added several bars and restaurants over the past decade but has not previously hosted a nationally operated nightlife concept of this scale.
No specific opening date within June 2026 has been announced.
